Until The Violence Stops....

I went and saw The Vagina Monologues with my mom on Saturday. My sister was performing in it, she did "The Flood". It was amazing. Not just because my sister was absolutely fantastic as a Jewish woman from the Bronx, but because the whole production and all the monologues are amazing. We saw A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer earlier in the day, but it just doesn't have the same, I don't know... it is a lot more depressing. There are no humorous parts to offset the poignant ones. It is just all so serious. That and none of my favorite stories from the book of MMR&P were performed. Except for "My House is Wallpapered With Lies." Even then, I wasn't all that impressed with it. I don't know. Maybe because when it is performed, it just lacks the energy of The Vagina Monologues. I still strongly recommend that everyone should read BOTH The Vagina Monologues and A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer. Just because the latter didn't translate into a production very well, doesn't mean that the stories are lacking in anyway. Some of my favorite stories are in there, so go read them!!
While I am on the subject of Eve Ensler... she is going to be at UB in April. I am so excited to go, I can barely contain myself.
In other news... actually there isn't much more going on. I am looking into a Grad program at UB. But nothing official because I won't be going to Grad school until at least Fall of 2009.

Here are a couple funny pictures of one of the kitties, Moo-Cow.
The first is Moo asleep in our linen closet. On my towels. Which she DID NOT pee on. The second is her trying to get comfortable in a shoebox.
